Welcome back to school!


I hope you all enjoyed your summer vacation. We are excited to begin another productive year with endless learning opportunities for your children. We are certain that you will find our learning environment welcoming and our school community helpful in meeting your child’s academic and social needs. 


Please be aware of the following arrival and dismissal procedures that are in place to ensure the safety of all of our students. 


  • Breakfast is available in the cafeteria for students in grades 6-8 beginning at 7:45am. Breakfast is available in the cafeteria for students in grades K-5 beginning at 8:00 am. Teachers pick up K-4 classes at 8:20 am from the cafeteria. Teachers pick up students from grades 6-8 from the auditorium. Our instructional day begins at 8:20am.

  • Dismissal is at 2:40 pm for all students

  • Pre-K is dismissed from the classroom

  • Kindergartners are dismissed from the playground outside of the kindergarten classroom

  • Grades 1-5 are dismissed in the schoolyard

  • Grades 6-8 are dismissed from the 11th Street exit

At dismissal, parents/guardians must meet their child(ren) in grades 1-5 in the schoolyard. Kindly help us maintain order and provide safe arrival and dismissal procedures. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.


Our annual Back to School Night will take place on Wednesday, September 13th, 2018 from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. This night will provide you an opportunity to meet your child(ren)’s teachers and learn more about what is happening at PS/MS 34 throughout the 2018-2019 school year.
